1st Morning in Ottawa

Well, we survived out first day and night in Ottawa and at 6:41 am of the first morning, I have made the rounds to the rooms on my floor to make sure everyone is up and am patiently (tiredly) waiting to shower after my fellow chaperone.

Yesterday, we skated on the Rideau Canel, the world's longest skating rink, took a tour of Ottawa after dinner and ultimately had a good day. My face feels a little wind burnt after being outside so much, which won't be helped by today's trip to all the Winterlude sights...but what can you do? We have had one incident of behaviour, a boy snuck out to the convenience store last night, and the 5 of us discussed the punishment for today and will be handing down our verdict at breakfast- no bowling party tonight for the perpetrator and the entire room will get taped in without free time. We tape the seals on their door at night so we know if they have opened the doors or left at all.

Today we are off to the Canadian War Museum, Snowflake Kingdom, and the Rideau Centre for some shopping. Hope everyone else is having a great time doing what they are doing. Here's my favourite picture from the trip so far!

Last Words...

Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.
