Edifying and Edgy

I saw a link to this blog, Edifying and Edgy, on another blog that I follow and the review was quite interesting so I decided to check it out.

First, I love the look of this blog!! It's written by two gals who have different tastes in books and reading materials. One half of the blog is Julie's thoughts- edifying. Think lightness, angels, and serenity. The other half is for Karin- edgy. Dark, devilish and enticing.

Today's post is about a book that they both agree on, Candour by Pam Bachorz. Their reviews are well-written, detailed and informative. I especially like the reference that eighth grade students would enjoy the book because I often find that YA reviews, and books for that matter, are for books that may be too old for my students. Or at least, too mature for me to offer in my classroom. This book sounds like it would be a great addition to me classroom, and they are having a giveaway contest for a copy too! Go on and check them out!

Last Words...

Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.
